• Diverse patient care. Working across all units, including the Emergency Department, Med-Surg, CCU, Pediatrics, Surgery, and the Women’s Center, we average five (5) mechanical ventilators monthly. Our respiratory therapists intubate, assist intubation, and set up and maintain equipment such as NIV, mechanical ventilation, CPAP, Bubble CPAP, nebulized treatments, PEP therapy, and bronchial hygiene. They are part of the Code Team.
• Autonomy & physician collaboration. Our therapists operate under established protocols and work directly with physicians who value and seek their input in patient care.
• Manageable caseloads. Average 15-30 patients per shift, with one to three (1-3) ventilators at a time.
• State-of-the-art equipment. Within the last two years, we acquired our ventilators, thus ensuring access to the latest technology in respiratory care.
