Team structure and autonomy

  • As an LCSW supporting the ED, you will collaborate closely with RNs, mental health staff, and community members. You will experience a high level of autonomy, reinforced by a team-centric approach and daily interdisciplinary rounding.
  • As a medical social worker, you will work closely with physicians, hospitalists, floor and unit nurses, ethicists, and chaplains.
  • As a palliative social worker, you will help facilitate palliative care conferences and conduct psychosocial assessments to identify patients’ formal and informal resources, barriers to care, and how patients define quality of life and what type of care is consistent with their values.
  • As a medical social worker at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice, you will work with an interdisciplinary hospice team consisting of social workers, nurses, physicians, nurse practitioners, CNAs, chaplains, volunteer coordinators, volunteers, massage therapists, music therapists, managers, clerical staff, and directors. Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center

One of five Level II trauma centers in Oregon and the largest hospital in Benton, Lincoln, and Linn counties, we offer dozens of medical specialties, including comprehensive cancer care, a full-service cardiology and cardiovascular surgery program, neurosurgery, orthopedic and spine surgery, inpatient mental health, and other regional services.
